Story of my “OSHOGATSU”

Hello. I am Keiko from ABC Cooking Travel.

How was your new year’s day?

I’m going to introduce about my new year’s day  today.

In japan, we eat special meal at new year day. Have you ever heard “OSECHI”.

Osechi has a meaning of Japanese festival. And what you eat with congratulatory dishes is Osechi cooking.

All ingredients have a good meaning for human life.

For example, shrimps are very important food in Osechi.

Shrimp has long beard and crooked back that symbol of longevity.  And red color of shrimp is congratulating.

That is only a part, other ingredients have each good meaning.

If you are interested in Japanese cuisine, let’s check them!!
